Spine23 provides innovative solutions to MIS TLIF and backup pedicle screw fusion for LLIF and ALIF. One or two level TLIF/ PLF can be performed through a single dime sized midline incision, or bilateral dime sized Wiltse incisions. The tiny incision profile is optimized for the 23hr ASC setting. The field of minimally invasive lumbar spine surgery, particularly MIS lumbar fusion surgery has been greatly aided by the recent development of Endoscopic, Robotic, and Expandable Cage technologies. Furthermore, recent advancements in regional and local anesthesia have substantially reduced post operative pain and shortened post operative stays after lumbar fusion surgery, even up to 72 hours after surgery. Despite these advancements, the most minimal incision size has stayed the same using traditional MIS pedicle screws, i.e. one 13-18mm incision per screw. Thus the most minimal incision for a 1 level TLIF is the width of 2 screws/ towers (26-36mm), and the most minimal incision for a 2 level TLIF is the width of 3 screws/ towers (39-54mm). These are doubled for bilateral incisions, and sometimes rod insertion requires an additional incision.Using Spine23's patented wire screw technology, lumbar pedicle screws can share a single 13-18mm dime sized incision. Even 3 screws in a 2 level TLIF can be placed through a single 18mm dime sized or smaller incision. The wire screw extensions allow "towers" to intersect completely at the single incision by using only a single tower through the incision at one time. Towers take turns through the single incision by ReAttaching to the screw using the wire extensions. This technique allows for incision sizes that are only limited by the diameter of a single screw/ tower.
