Spitzen is a Houston based company that was created by Oscar Rodriguez determined to serve customers in the Oil and Gas market in U.S.A. and Latin America in all of what relates to the valve, choke and valve actuation business. Engaging with accounts at various levels in disciplines such as engineering, design, procurement, operations and maintenance, allowed Oscar to understand the difficulties customers face when they need to select, procure, install, operate and maintain valves. The solutions and best practices learned by Oscar in 23 years of professional experience along with his engineering and business criteria, have been brought together into Spitzen to provide a dynamic and effective support system in terms of technical and commercial assessment at customer level. Prior to becoming Managing Director at Spitzen Oscar managed the valve business for Cameron Valves in Latin America as a Director of Sales and most recently as Sales Manager for North America after the Cameron acquisition by Schlumberger. Other roles include Manager for Latin America in the Cameron Flow Control Division / Chokes and Actuators; Sales Manager South America / PCC Flow Technologies where he focused on the General Valve Company products and PCC Ball Valves; Sales Manager for Caribbean and Central America for Tyco Flow Control and at the very early stages Sales Coordinator in Riese & Cia/Venezuela company considered as his valve school.Oscar holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Management both from the Universidad Central de Venezuela.
