Hi, I'm Nilima Abrams. I created Splice Cream, LLC as the metaphorical cone to support a variety of endeavors — which "splice" or combine remedies to social problems with appealing solutions. I am medium-agnostic, working on projects without prescribed outcomes, so these "scoops" come in assorted flavors, including documentary filmmaking, design, cause-marketing, writing, teaching, and entrepreneurship. For some projects, I take on all of the roles, for others I art direct, project-manage, collaborate, and/or consult. Splice Cream helps businesses integrate and promote innovative, ethical practices, non-profits better market themselves, and students expand their self-concept and love of learning. Splice Cream work often blends in humor, storytelling, and gamification to support companies, causes, and kids.--------------------------------------------------------------------------Nilima holds an Ed.M from Harvard, MFA in Documentary Film and Video from Stanford, and BA with Honors in Political Science from The University of Vermont, with a concentration in Community and International Development. She's received numerous grants and awards, including a Fulbright Fellowship to film and teach in India, which resulted in a feature-length documentary and a collaborative film that aired nationally on PBS. Nilima launched and sold a mobile app, taught college courses, volunteered with kids from around the world, and co-created a summer camp for refugee teenagers in VT.
