Sportnet is a web-based application with the aim of being the sport social network catering for all those participating in amateur sport, designed to improve their experience. Sportnet is positioned uniquely as a holistic multi-sport platform to benefit players, clubs and leagues, through the provision of online tools and support inspired by professional sport. The seed for the design came about from a combination of our own participation experience, coupled with our combined 13 years working in elite sport, covering Olympic sports, Cricket and Rugby. The gulf between the professional and amateur game is bigger than ever – Sportnet blends the latest technologies and innovation with sport expertise to reduce this gap, improving the quality of amateur sport on and off the pitch. The current test site for football has been developed by iPrinciples, a software development company set up by ex-Microsoft employees, who are also shareholders in the business. We are now seeking further investment of between £100,000-£200,000 to accelerate development and take the product to market. We have a detailed business plan, supported by financial forecasts to demonstrate to potential investors. If you may be interested in supporting this exciting new opportunity, financially or otherwise, or know of someone who may be interested, please contact Cain Berry for more information.
