SBNY is a group of young professionals devoted to providing up-to-date sports news as well as informative and opinionated articles. Our main focus is on New York sports, but we recently expanded and now fully cover the four major sports. Although all of our writers are fans of New York sports teams, we remove all bias and our only focus is on reporting things how we see them. We cannot compete with ESPN's sports coverage, but we can do many things that they cannot. We have the ability to personally interact with our 40,000+ Twitter followers, defend our opinions, and create an online sports discussion. Another way we differ from ESPN is that we do not claim to be experts, even though many of our writers have experience working for professional sports teams. We are simply dedicated and well-informed fans that watch a lot of sports (probably too much.) We also report on the obscure and interesting sports stories that ESPN often overlooks. The most important way we differentiate from ESPN, and the reason we started this company, is that we can say what we want.
