Organized every four years, the World Cup witness the best of the world hockey show their skills on the field.The Men's Hockey World Cup 2018 is scheduled to be held from 28 November to 16 December 2018, at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Starting from, the Bhubaneswar tournament will be the 14th edition of the coveted field hockey tournament. Every four years, at the World Cup the world's greatest teams play some of the toughest, most skillful and entertaining hockey imaginable. This is where legends are made – with the world's finest players battling it out to become the very best.The Odisha Hockey Men's World Cup Bhubaneswar 2018 is scheduled to be held from 28 November to 16 December 2018, at the Kalinga Hockey Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Started in 1971, the Bhubaneswar tournament will be 14th edition of the coveted field hockey tournament.The FormatFrom 2018, the tournament will be extended to 16 teams so there will be more games to enjoy through four group stages, the quarter finals and classification matches.A total of 36 matches will be played within a span of 18 match days. 27 technical officials appointed by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) hailing from 18 countries from all five continents will officiate at this prestigious event.
