It all started three years ago. During the 90's, there was a global hype with cotton shirts that reacted to body heat. We thought it would be great to apply this effect to sportswear. And there the challenge and fun begun. The goal was to create sportswear with a twist.Aside from the awesome effect, it will give you feedback during your work-out. The muscles you use during a work-out will heat up and this will trigger the color changing effect. The color changing effect takes place when the muscles start warming up during the work-out. This way, you will be able to see which muscles you have used during the work-out.The past three years we have searched for a supplier that could provide the color changing effect for sportswear. A lot of suppliers claimed they could deliver the product we were looking for. But in the end, the effect was not good enough or the fabrics were not suited for sportswear. We almost gave up our search, but then..We finally found a supplier that could match our needs. The supplier and the manufacturer provided us with a sample fitness shirt. So we started tuning the sample to get the perfect fit, perfect quality and the color changing effect at the correct temperature. After some sampling, as shown in the project video, we finally have the effect we want with a perfected fit.
