SPREAD was conceptualized in the early part of 2017 with the goal of becoming world's first Blockchain based Renewable Energy Funding & Trading Platform to accelerate energy transition and create a stronger circular economy around climate finance (evergreen and commodity markets) within smart cities.With help from NTUitive and SPRING Singapore, SPREAD got the initial stimuli to jump-start its market and business development activities in ASEAN, ANZ, India, Europe and US and quickly gained traction and recognition at the 'Global Energy Blockchain Summit 2018' in Berlin, 'Collision Conference 2018' in New Orleans, LA and an opportunity to be part of the 'CleanTech Open 2018' Program in the USA and 'WeXelerate' Program in Austria (Vienna). SPREAD [Syndication Platform for Renewable Energy Asset finance Decentralization] is a digital Business-to-Business Renewable Energy Funding & Trading decentralized Platform (from equity swaps to crowd-lending and securitization, standardized VPPA, tolling, plain vanilla) for small to mid-size commercial and industrial customers (offtakers, power marketers, utilities, risk solutions providers ), project developers, bigger Independent Power Producers (IPPs) on one side and investors from the financial industry (including fund Managers, Accredited Investors, Developmengt Finance Institutions, Banks, Family Offices) on the other. Projects to be financed are in the most attractive range of 0,5 to 20MW for a 100B$/year investment market by 2030 (decentralized energy resources).Leveraging digital technologies such as Blockchain, AI, ML and IoT, SPREAD enables these investors to optimise their mutual market positions for acquisition and selling of greenfield or/and brownfield renewable projects and adjust their risk profile to their targeted yields and WACC. SPREAD data structure are based on standardized referencials including those from sunspec allinace and the Terrawatt institute, whith more than 130 countries to be targeted..
