Built in 1958, the historic Spruce Grove Grain Elevator landmark is located on Highway 16A in Spruce Grove. From May - September, the Spruce Grove & District Agricultural Heritage Society - the owners/operators of the Grain Elevator Museum - open the elevator to the public. Several fund raising events are held each summer at the Elevator Museum Site including FlapJacks at the Tracks Pancake Breakfast in July, the Farm & Heritage Carnival in August, and the Harvest Fair in September. Also at the Elevator site is the Spruce Grove Archives, and on Saturdays, is home to the Spruce Grove Farmers Market. The museum is open Tuesday - Saturday. School, group, and seniors tours available by calling (780)960-4600 to book an appointment. The SG Ag Society also operates a concession at the Elevator site - food services available Saturdays 9:00am - 1:30pm, until end of Sept.
