Spudz-N-Stuff was founded by Jason and Leah Dicken in June of 2008. The first location opened on the west side of Evansville with only one employee and a vision of feeding everyone in the country an awesome loaded baked potato. It didn't take long for word to spread that Spudz-N-Stuff was the place to be. Soon after opening, two employees were needed, then three. Business was booming! Jason and Leah knew then that it was quickly becoming a Tater Nation. In November of 2008 he enlisted the help Nick Sroka, a services marketing and advertising specialist, who knew what it would take to bring Spudz-N-Stuff to the next level. After spending some time building a local reputation and a recipe for success, it was time to expand. On Aug 16 2010, their second location opened for business on the east side of town. It was an instant hit! They were selling more potatoes then ever (and awesome brownies too). Spudz-N-Stuff became incorporated in the summer of 2011 under the name "Tater Nation" – leaving the playing field open for future potato endeavors. After the success of the first two restaurants, a gentleman came to Jason with an opportunity to take a look at another spot the next town over. At first they were overwhelmed. The location was a large independent building, different from the strip malls they were used to. But, taking a risk is what this business is all about, and Jason jumped on the opportunity to lease the building. Around the same time another opportunity presented itself as a Dairy Queen that shut down in the heart of downtown of Evansville. They eagerly signed the lease and went to work. The downtown location opened on July first, 2011, and was greeted by a huge rush of curious customers. Indeed it is has become a tater eating nation. Just one year and a day after opening the second Spudz-N-Stuff on Green River Road, the Henderson location opened for business. Currently Jason, Leah, and Nick are working on expanding and franchising Spudz-N-Stuff
