Shane Tobin B.B.S, M.A Working my way up through the ranks exploring both the film and television worlds with top class pros all the time trying to learn as much as possible, before in 2007 becoming a freelance camera and Lighting cameraman. My camerawork has screened all over the world in various festivals and TV stations and I have worked all over the Europe and the Middle East. I have directed numerous music videos which have been Top 5 in the Irish charts, functioning as a creative aswell as the cameraman. In 2009, I was DOP on several projects including the Oscar shortlisted short movie Whatever Turns You On by Declan Cassidy. I was also the DOP for Ireland's first soap drama outside of the big stations, shooting for 8 weeks all over Ireland which has enjoyed huge acclaim for its use of new technologies, workflows and maximizing budgets aswell as its unique look. Always looking for new challenges and collaborations in visual storytelling. Graduate of Dublin City University I can multi task: perform interviews, monitor sound and operate camera when required through his training as an ENG cameraman and producer. Excellent knowledge of Final Cut Pro editing systems which I use for all my corporate work especially magic bullet and motion.
