We have developed a detailed and user friendly linear programming software "Nutrioptimizer" to support nutrition improvement. It is a software tool based on linear programming analysis, a mathematical optimization process that demonstrate how nutrient-based recommendations can be translated into nutritionally adequate food intake pattern with nutritional modification of current or proposed choices of food.In finding a suitable diet for a particular individual, there can be many combinations of foods which could satisfy the given nutrient requirement. After selecting the foods according to their individual preferences, the optimization program is run.
