It was in 1980, when the confabulations among nine members precipitated into forming an educational society, which was Christened after "Swamy" : "SRI SANKARANDA GIRI" and finally it emerged as "SRI SANKARANANDA GIRI SWAMY EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY".At the out set, this educational society envisaged an easy and affordable access of collegiate education to every rank and file in and around the vicinity of Guntakal town. Leaving no room for delay, the society initiated an action plan to give shape to their long cherished objective of Education to all those devoid of it.It made a humble beginning with Junior college established in 1982 with just 72 student strength in the first year. Subsequently, the society mooted the idea of a Degree college for enabling these students to continue their studies and prosecute their Degrees. Hence the establishment of a degree college in 1984 under the same educational society. As a result of this action 40 educated youth got employment in both the colleges in Teaching and Non-Teaching faculties. The unflinching efforts of the management and unabated endevours of its staff culminated into a big success of the action plan
