Software Shop Limited (SSL) has been founded in 1999 as an associated company of one of the biggest garments exporting groups in Bangladesh, Concorde Garments. Since then it has come a long way contributing in the IT education sector, later from the year 2007, it revamped as SSL Wireless and started focusing on the domestic software development and telecommunication VAS business.Over the last twelve years, SSL concentrated on the development of media and financial services. It currently enjoys a staggering 80% market share of SMS service provided to the banks and 50% in the corporate sector. SSL is also partnered with the government and provides SMS services to the Passport Office, BRTA and DESCO. With its consistent and tenacious efforts, SSL has become the largest Payment Service Provider in Bangladesh, serving close to 1000 merchants across the country through its Payment Gateway Solution called SSLCOMMERZ, which processes about 80% of the total online transactions in Bangladesh.
