SSVL provides investment recommendations to the Alternative Investment Fund Manager of Sterling Strategic Value Fund S.A., SICAV-RAIF ("Sterling"). Sterling is a value-oriented, European small & mid-cap fund with a successful 22 year track record. Sterling invests in the listed equity of small and mid-cap companies quoted on the major European exchanges. Sterling seeks to enhance the value of companies through an engaged and supportive approach that aligns shareholder and management interests.Sterling's rigorous investment criteria and ownership approach means that it holds only a small number of disclosed strategic investments at any one time. It adopts a cautious stance and is willing to remain highly liquid in the absence of genuine value opportunities. In addition, Sterling avoids currency risk and operates without leverage.Sterling has two investment vehicles:• Sterling Active Fund (SAF) which was launched on 1 October 2020 and formally created on 1 January 2021. SAF is open for new subscriptions since 1 January 2021.• Sterling Strategic Value I (SSV) which is closed to new investors.
