Individual & Family Services - Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom
It's our centenary!St Andrew's Children's Society is a voluntary adoption and fostering agency based in Edinburgh and Aberdeen. It was founded in Edinburgh in 1922 and opened its Aberdeen base in 2013. The agency finds homes for vulnerable children living in Scotland and offers an extensive range of adoption support for as long as it is needed, not just until the child becomes part of its new family.St Andrew's Children's Society is the oldest Scottish adoption agency still operating. It is also the only agency in Scotland offering SafeBase Scotland Parenting Training to adopters and foster carers. We welcome adoption and fostering enquiries from all members of the community, including LGBT+ people, single people, people of all faiths and people who do not follow a faith. We hold regular Adoption and Fostering Information Events throughout the year where you can find out more about the adoption or fostering process, what it's really like to adopt or foster, meet some of our adopters and foster carers and ask questions. Everyone is welcome. Here is what one child, who was adopted through St Andrew's Children's Society, said about being adopted...What I like about being adopted is ……… having all my friends at school and such an amazing family and all the fun and adventures we have like chilling, cycling, judo and simply being together with my family :-).Please get in touch today by calling 0131 454 3370 (Edinburgh) or 01224 878158 (Aberdeen) if you would like to find out more about adopting or fostering or when our next event is. You can also send us an email and we will get back to you:info@standrews-children.org.uk.Thank you.
