St John's Organ Project Details

The organ at St John's Notting Hill has been fully restored. This was made possible via the many donations from individuals and organisations, including a £373,500 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The grant from the HLF enabled a programme of several activities to take place, including school visits and workshops (1,050 school children visited from 13 local schools), many sold-out concerts and events, two new permanent history exhibitions (researched by 20 volunteers), adult learning opportunities, and a video project for young people (age 13-21). More than 150 volunteers were involved with the project. The project began in May 2012 and ended in June 2015, with lasting activities taking place after project completion.
