St John's School is an independent day and boarding school in Devon for boys and girls aged 2 -16, located on a hill overlooking the sea in the beautiful Regency town of Sidmouth. We are a relatively small school that caters for around 200 local day students combined with a 50 strong contingent of international boarders from more than 10 countries around the globe.However, our international pedigree doesn't stop there. As an IES (International Education Systems) School our aim is to provide excellence in education with an international perspective and the school benefits from strong support and a diverse range of opportunities for our students at our other schools in the United States, South Africa and across Europe.We are a thriving, all through, co-educational school with children as young as two years old and as old as 16. Our curriculum is broad with a strong emphasis on bringing out the very best in all our students. We are proud of our emphasis on traditional values too.Academic expectations are high, but we also believe that our students' ability to communicate successfully, to consider the needs of others and to show drive and initiative are all attributes that will help them achieve success at university and make a significant contribution to society in later life.Most importantly, our school is a strong community.
