Religious Institutions - Bristol, England, United Kingdom
St Mary Redcliffe was described by Queen Elizabeth I as "the fairest, goodliest, and most famous parish church in England" and the church building is today recognised as one of the great masterpieces of Gothic architecture. The church houses a large and diverse community, drawn from many parts of Bristol and beyond; the variety of which is expressed in the range of services, and through the many activities that have grown out of this worship. Dan Tyndall, the vicar of St Mary Redcliffe, is actively engaged within the local community, playing an important role - as a member of Redcliffe Neighbourhood Development Forum and Redcliffe Delivery Board - in creating plans for the development of the Redcliffe area of the city. To this end Dan is interested in forging strong and lasting links with local businesses and charities, government bodies, council representatives, MPs, resident associations and other local interest groups.
