This parish was named in honor of San Felipe de Jesús, missionary priest Mexican friar who gave his life as a martyr in Nagasaki, Japan, in 1597. The parish was first established as a mission on December 8, 1958 & elevated to the status of parish in April 18, 1967. The parish has many associations and ministries, I invite you to be part of some of them. The parish has a pastoral and finance council formed by community members whose mission is to assist the pastor giving tips and ideas on pastoral and financial management of the parish community. Our parish is held with the generous offerings of the parishioners. Whom God himself amply reward who gives generously to a good job, family harmony, family blessing and a generous heart and always available to forgive as we pray to Our Father. I want to invite you to have your Sunday offering envelopes and holiday envelopes, which will help you to reduce taxes when you request a letter of informing your donations given during the year. Our parish always has spiritual order activities such as: (retreats, reflection and meditation workshops, bible studies, Posadas throughout the neighborhood, focus on the sacraments, and etc.) Also integration activities like community festivals: (Fiestas Patrias, fall and spring festivals, ministry fair, and etc.) Also, you may receive an updated parish directory and if you have changed address or telephone number, I urge you to let us know as soon as possible at the parish office to update our records. For now only remains for me to continue to pray for each and every one of you, in your family and personal needs as I do every day in the mass celebration. I simply ask you to do so by the Holy Father Francisco and for your priest who is in charge of this parish community for the Lord remains faithful in his ministry. Welcome to the house of God. Who receives you with open arms. Fraternally his serving in Christ and Mary. Fr. Jesus Suarez - Pastor
