St Virgil's College is one of Tasmania's oldest and most respected boys' Colleges. Founded in 1911 by the Christian Brothers, St Virgil's College in 2011 celebrated its Centenary with a year filled with events and activities that commemorated the College's rich history and traditions whilst reinforcing the key tenets of a Catholic boys school in the Edmund Rice tradition.St Virgil's caters for boys from Grade 3 to 10. We offer a high quality, engaging and contemporary education for more than 750 boys aged from 8 to 16. Grade 3-6 is located at our Patrick St campus in the Hobart CBD. Grade 7-10 is on our 70 acre campus at Austins Ferry which features natural bushland and stunning views across the Derwent River and to kunanyi (Mt Wellington).
