Stadiavision Limited was established to design and develop a concept for manufacturing and installing a lightweight retractable roof structure for retrofitting existing football stadium and other outdoor arenas. Most modern sporting stadia host 20 to 25 fixtures the course of an entire season. Inclement weather denies stadia the opportunity to guarantee music concerts and the like throughout the year. Stadia naming rights, events ticketing, hospitality, merchandising, food and beverage income potential are thus hugely limited - the owners most expensive and tangible asset is making little or no return in real terms, and customers in regional areas are denied the opportunity to see major acts and artists in their own locality.Chairman Mike Horton has a history of successful sports entrepreneurship – having been Chief Executive, Director, and owner of Derby County Football Club in the English Premier League; Chairman of Derbyshire County Cricket Club, and the owner of the Derby Storm Basketball franchise and arena. His long-standing engineering company has a significant history of successfully designing, manufacturing and exporting to more than 100 countries worldwide. The innovation contained within Stadiavision enables the business to supply world class, light weight, innovative roofing structures over large spans. In a world first to apply innovative composites to a construction assembly of this scale, the main structure of the roof arches are made from carbon fibre bonded into tubes during manufacturing, using high performance resins in a moulded process. Our unique computer controlled, retractable high-performance membrane and mechanism is then attached to the assembly, and the stadium is complete without expensive reinforcement of the existing structure.
