Star Bright Books is an independent, self-distributed children's publishing house based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Established in 1994 with the aim of creating books for every child, we publish English and bilingual board books, picture books, and chapter books that celebrate and represent children of all colors, nationalities, and abilities. Star Bright Books specializes in early math literacy, diversity and inclusion, special needs, books for babies, stories of acceptance and respect, nonfiction subjects and biographies, Holocaust stories, and other stories of survival or perseverance. We proudly offer books in 30 different languages. Star Bright Books is a member of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) program, the American Library Association (ALA), and the American Booksellers Association (ABA). Many of our authors and illustrators are members of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). Our books have been named to distinguished lists such as the Junior Library Guild Selection, Bank Street College's "Best Books of the Year," Carnegie Library's "Best Books for Babies," the Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC) Choices Selection, the International Board for Books on Young People (IBBY) Exhibit, and the Booklist Editor's Choice, as well as honored with the Kate Greenaway Medal and Benjamin Franklin Award.
