Star Trux Partners SynopsisStar Trux Partners, LLC is a collaboration between two ex-Atari employees, John Powers and Ken Balthaser. The two met in the late 70's where they worked together at The Authorship Resource in Columbus, Ohio, a small group of software programmers and designers that created some of the world's first consumer apps. They were true pioneers in personal computers, having been there at the birth of the nascent PC industry. The Authorship Resource created multi-media apps for the then ground-breaking CyberVision Home Computer, sold by Montgomery Ward. It was the world's first truly multi-media system, with apps for games, education and productivity.After CyberVision, John was hired by Atari in the Silicon Valley to manage software development for the newly formed Personal Computer division. Over the ensuing months, one by one, Ken and the other staff joined John at Atari.After their stint at Atari in the early 80's, John and Ken went on their separate ways and worked at a variety of companies in Silicon Valley, each of which contributed to the growth of the the personal computer and video games industries: Convergent Technologies, Mindset Computers, Sega of America, The Learning Company, MicroProse Games and Apple Computer, to name a few.It was John's iOS app experience and Ken's video game experience plus their longtime friendship that brought the two of them back together in 2012 to collaborate on Star Trux.In November 2013, Star Trux Partners released their first app for the iPhone and iPad: Star Trux.
