Star TV is a new free to air home-grown British-Somali channel. The channel is an independent and progressive media organization focusing on the global Somalicommunity and interested stakeholders. It was incorporated in December in England and Wales as a Limited company under Star Media Corporation. The television service was officially launched on the 30th of June 2013.Star TV is satellite and online oriented television service that aims to enrich the viewing experiences of Somali people across the globe with the aim to remove dullness from their television screens. The channel features a wide variety of shows both in Somali and English. Our programmes are family oriented but also include content specifically geared towards the younger generation, particularly those living abroad as well as in the East African continent. Star TV functions under a young but highly skilled and professional management team. We have a dedicated team of professionals that are involved in production, post production and content development management. Our skilful technical team is working 24/7 to ensure high quality production and post-production outcomes.
