The START Gallery is dedicated to providing local college and university students with an opportunity to gain immersive experience and transferable skills in the visual arts market by developing a venue in which high quality student art is available at reasonable prices. Employees of the gallery will be students of Wake Forest University. The gallery strives to create a unique experiential learning laboratory in which engaged students have formative experiences while participating in the management and operation of the gallery as they prepare to become viable artists and/or professionals aspiring to leadership roles in art galleries. The gallery will be a place to enjoy, learn, and discover. It will also be a workplace of inclusion and respect, with a main focus on the development of creativity and ideas.
