Since 1988, STAT has been the market analysis company for the international pulse (pea, bean, lentil, chickpea) trade and for specialty crops such as canary and mustard seed. STAT started as a newsletter, but in the 1990s migrated to the internet -- making STATPUB one of the first agricultural commodity news and analysis websites on the internet. Access to the statistics and all the articles in our database requires a subscription. However, a vast amount of information of agricultural markets is available to non-subscribers. News about markets is published newswire style with articles added to the company website as they are published. Subscribers have the ability to choose to receive some of the articles by email as they are added to the website. At the website, subscribers have access to weekly updated price charts and monthly updated export trade data for Canada, the United States and Australia. Trade data is organized by commodity and destination as well as by destination and commodity. Supply and demand forecasts are also regularly updated at the website. In 2012, STAT created a book publishing division. One of the key features for traders is the Export Essentials book series, which summarizes trade data for pulses and other specialty crops shipped from Canada, Australia and the United States. The books include data which is not available as part of the regular website subscription.
