State of Play is the world's most comprehensive and insightful source of knowledge on strategic innovation in the mining industry. Since its inception in 2012, State of Play has become the go-to source for in-depth analysis and expertise in the vast and complex mining domain. As part of the VCI Group, an independent strategy firm already well-established globally, we have the knowledge and the experience to provide comprehensive research MISSIONState of Play began as a curiosity project in trying to understand how innovation works at a strategic level within the high-capital, but slow-moving, mining industry. Today, in addition to being an in-depth resource of industry workings, State of Play is recognised as a valuable arena for leaders to engage in dialogue and collaborate. The result is a movement to evolve macro-level insights into plausible solutions that address challenges in the industry ecosystem.Our vision is to become a global hub of research and knowledge, continuing our work in effectively analysing the mining industry, but also expanding our reach across platforms and domains – in partnership with industries, academia and the government. As the Mining Industry Survey has grown in importance, it has been used to influence entire ecosystem strategies in Australia, as well as in shaping individual company strategies.
