STATEC Research Details
STATEC Research is the research division of STATEC, the National Institute of Statistical and Economic Studies of Luxembourg. The team of economists performs applied research primarily in the fields of productivity, entrepreneurship, and well-being, with an aim to better understand Luxembourg's social and economic development in a comparative perspective. STATEC Research contributes to the national policy debate and international scientific community. The team performs research on issues crucial to the public and policy makers. To general audiences, findings are released through conferences, news releases, and both short- and long- form reports. Results for the scientific community are published in peer-reviewed journals, such as Economic Modelling, European Economic Review, Ecological Economics, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Kyklos, Macroeconomic Dynamics, Review of Income and Wealth, Small Business Economics, Social Indicators Research, and World Development. Beyond publishing, STATEC Research collaborates with several national and international organizations, such as the OECD, EUROSTAT, and the European Commission. The team hosts visiting scholars and students (masters and doctoral), and organises international conferences, workshops, and seminars. Team members also sit on the boards of national institutions and academic societies.
