STEAM URBAN is an Expressive Arts, STEM-disciplined, 501(c)(3) non-profit, organization dedicated to changing the way education looks and feels for urban students of all ages. We design innovative educational experiences that address the realities of Black and Brown youth in under-resourced communities providing accessible and quality programming to students of all ages. S.T.E.A.M FOR EDUCATIONAL JUSTICE is a movement dedicated to redesigning the way education looks and feels for black (brown/minority) students. Our goal is to provide thought provoking programming to dismantle the misrepresentations of blacks in S.T.E.A.M fields. We want to educate students on the endless possibilities they have for their futures, give them a voice and platform to be valued and protected, and provide a creative and innovative approach to virtual and in-person learning.Our programs provide black families access to FREE, Consistent and Quality programming year-round. We continuously develop new ideas, establish new partnerships, and participate in or create engaging events.
