At Steep Street Design, we have a particular focus on the communities of Central Appalachia, and have years of experience in conducting research on projects that can celebrate the unique culture of Appalachia while also helping to boost its economy and its residents' quality of life. Design is a tool that, at its best, builds communities and brings people together. Our practice is dedicated to engaging and receiving input from communities on the design of public space that celebrates their unique cultural qualities. We aim to design public spaces that empower individuals through the design process and contribute to a built environment where people feel more connected with one another and the world that surrounds them.
