STEP UP (Senior Targeted Exercise and Physical Therapy) is a comprehensive senior physical therapy service brought to your home. STEP UP is the only physical therapy practice in the Denver Metro area solely devoted to the older adult and bringing the benefits of outpatient physical therapy to the senior's home. STEP UP serves those who simply prefer the convenience of receiving care in their home. STEP UP provides physical therapy services to those in Southwest Metro Denver, Littleton, Centennial, Englewood, Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, Lone Tree, and Greenwood Village. Our mission is to provide the highest quality physical therapy services to the older adult to optimize their health, function, and quality of life. Services include orthopedic physical therapy for recovery from injuries and surgeries (spine, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle, joint replacement, etc) and general strengthening; neurological rehabilitation for those with Parkinson's disease or other movement disorders, stroke, multiple sclerosis, etc to improve gait, balance, mobility, strength, and maximize independence and safety; vestibular rehabilitation for those with balance and dizziness disorders including benign positional vertigo, Meniere's disease, endolymphatic hydrops, vestibular migraine, hypofunction, and imbalance due to sensory loss to resolve or minimize dizziness and maximize balance and safety; osteoporosis prevention and management including weight bearing exercise, education on fall and fracture prevention, and balance training; home safety evaluations. Personal training is available on a cash pay basis. Eric Deines, PT, DPT, CSCS received his Master's degree in physical therapy in 2001 from the University of Puget Sound. He then received his Doctor of Physical therapy in 2006 from the University of Puget Sound. Eric has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2001. In 200, Eric developed and began teaching a senior fitness class. Katherine Deines, PT, DPT, NCS received her Master's degree in physical therapy from the University of Puget Sound in 2001. In 2006, she received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Puget Sound. She has been a certified vestibular therapist since 2002 through Emory University. Katherine became a board certified neurological clinical specialist in 2007. She has been an assistant instructor at the University of Colorado's physical therapy program since 2009.
