StepStones for Youth is an innovative and skills focused registered charitable organization developed in response to the critical need for preventative intervention programs for vulnerable young people. We believe that children should have equal opportunity for success, regardless of their economic and family situation. StepStones works with children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who have experienced trauma, abuse, unstable guardian care and difficult life circumstances, putting them at greater risk of unemployment, low educational attainment and homelessness. We have an established program model that pairs highly qualified staff working with youth in small group settings, where we focus on skill attainment. In fostering skill development, we have proven results in increasing employment, education, support networks and reducing homelessness
