At Sterling Stories, we believe in creating an ecological economy. That is an economy that is in harmony with the environment through sustainable production and consumption. We do our part by focusing on the production and distribution of ecological economics books and children short stories by using carbon-neutral paper and plant-based inks. Our first economics book (release date 2020) explains the principles of ecological economics and why changing how we teach economics is essential for overcoming climate change, restoring economic stability and reducing market concentration. In addition, our children short stories are intended to create more holistic people by inspiring them to achieve their dreams, goals and passions. More holistic people are also people who care about the wellbeing of the Earth. Our first children short story, "The Lions' Den" (illustrated by Tiberius) explains that in order to tame lions, you don't need to be the biggest, meanest or most aggressive. You need to be calm, cool and collected. You need to believe in yourself. Our second short story "6 ft Avg," (illustrated by R.Beans) explains the troubles facing Florida: invasive species damaging ecological equilibrium, sea level rise threatening to damage a State where the average elevation is only six feet, and the low-cost of petroleum as an impediment to transitioning to a society powered by renewable energy. Upcoming short stories 2019: "Peacock's Paradise" and "Dusty."
