Formation of S.A.Before becoming a Limited Company in 1994, Stevenage Boro FC was run by a Management Committee of volunteers under the Chairmanship of Ken Vale a Stevenage Borough Councillor. In June 1994, two of the original Management Committee, Keith Berners, and Mervyn Stokes-Geddes (SA Secretary) became the founder members of the SBFC Supporters Association.The Purpose of the S.A.To provide resources and funds to Stevenage FC, give benefits to the members, and to enhance communication between the Club and its supporters. To assist the Club in meeting its objectives of gaining promotion to the Football League. The SA is not conducted for profit, and each season surplus funds are passed to the Club in exchange for shares in SBFC. To date, the SA has transferred over £300k to the Club.S.A. Membership & BenefitsThe SFCSA have various membership categories, and subscriptions range from £5 for Juniors, £10 for Concessions, £15 for Adults and £30 for family memberships.The benefits of membership include; 10% discount in Club Shop, £5 saving on travel costs to away fixtures, free match day ticket draws, discounts with local retailers, and priority for tickets (all ticket games) and much more. The SA also organise functions such as; the end of Season Player Awards, the visit to Lister Hospital Children's Ward at Christmas, where players hand out gifts. The SA also runs the matchday 50/50 ticket draw.
