The Gingras Foundation is a non-profit organization established by choreographer André Gingras in 2009, with the main objective of producing his own work. After his death in early 2013, the Foundation took on the role of honoring Gingras's legacy by supporting dance in the Netherlands and extraordinary dance artists in particular. \The board members of the André Gingras Foundation are now executing André's wish: that the foundation would be used to create a new prize for innovation in dance.\The André Gingras Award was awarded in 2014 to breakdance-collective 155 (formally iLL skill Squad) and in 2015 to choreographer Guilherme Miotto
