Our slogan is "Education and Entrepreneurship", meaning that our emphasis lies on training future entrepreneurs who can help develop their region and even their country. Mission statement Haparako aims at improving the economical independency of rural areas in the north-western part of Burkina Faso, by offering youngsters and women a broad spectrum of training facilities. LTPH focuses on training future entrepreneurs, who can function autonomously and self-consciously; who can recognise problems, search for solutions and bring them into practice. This requires a broad horizon, knowledge of alternatives and an analytical way of thinking, in order to manage their organisation in a creative manner. Entrepreneurs with flexible managerial capacities, who can collaborate and coordinate, produce sustainable and modern companies, who will make them autonomous and independent. This will not only favour the individual entrepreneur, but also their communities and even their country. LTPH offers four disciplines: car mechanics, civil engineering, electrotechnics and metal construction. The total course takes four years, consisting of a first preparatory year where all students rotate over all four disciplines, followed by three years of technical training. Over 80% of our students come from small villages, with uneducated parents who are peasants.
