Stitch Partners is a start-up company introducing a new, patented, AIR FILTERING TECHNOLOGY, an Actively Charged Textile Surface - (ACTS). It rapidly attracts and absorbs smoke in an enclosed space where venting is not an option, AND it has been shown to deactivate airborne pathogens on contact. It filters submicron particles down to 10 nm. The air turnover rate in a room 10' x 18' x 8' is 10 minutes with a PTF roughly 8" x 16". Stitch Partners filed two patents for the technology and has an exclusive license with North Carolina State University where it was developed. (See video demonstration - by clicking on the videos tab )Rapid smoke removal has applications in aerospace - especially in a cockpit, in high rise buildings, schools, theaters, subways, military transports and any other enclosed space. The efficacy of ACTS to absorb and remove smoke in an enclosed space has been proven in a lab.Aersolized virus deactivation is critically needed in hopitals, schools, medical offices and waiting rooms, and all other indoor spaces where people are in close proximitiy of one another. Duke One Health is currently testing ACTS in its virology lab on the efficacy to deactivate deactivate aersolized COVID-19 and other airborne pathogens on contact.Scientists agree that aerosolized COVID-19 is a form of transmission for the disease. COVID-19 can be transmitted by simply talking, laughing, singing, and sneezing. Airborne pathogens can travel over 10 feet in the air and remain active for several hours.
