StSF är Svenska Seglarförbundets (SSF) distriktsseglarförbund i Stockholmsregionen. StSF har 125 anslutna klubbar varav hälften är aktiva kappseglingsarrangörer. Seglardagen,SSF:s årsmöte, är högsta beslutande organ för idrotten segling i Sverige. Där företräder StSF Stockholmsklubbarnas intressen. Uppgift och mål StSF:s uppgift är att såsom SSF:s regionala organ främja och administrera all seglingsidrott inom distriktet i överensstämmelse med idrottens mål och inriktning. StSF vill skapa en bred och framgångsrik tävlingsverksamhet i distriktet genom att satsa på breddsegling, rekrytering och träningsverksamhet samt välutbildade funktionärer.
