We are a Kenyan organized and registered Christian mission based organization, located in Nakuru, Kenya. The most important aspect of our work is establishing New Testament churches under the leadership of an indigenous plurality of elders. This foundation promotes church members providing help and outreach to the surrounding communities. Part of our mission involves gathering pastors, church leaders and other workers in the community, who desire to learn how to work together and walk in mutual accountability. This effort reaches hundreds of people as these leaders take what they learn back to their churches and neighborhoods. We have established a small indigenous run school located in the most impoverished area of the Nakuru slums to grow and increase this ministries. The project is called L.E.A.R.N. and sponsors children with the need of affording an education. Another aspect empowers women, who have no means of income, to learn skills, such as sewing, jewelry making and other crafts. We offer a sewing school to teach ladies how to design and construct clothing they can sell and provide for their families. SMI partners with St. Mary's Hospital staff to provide clinics for healthcare and instruction for healthy living. SMI partners with Heavens Family to instruct people how to start co-op businesses. SMI is also reaching and teaching people outside the church. We are teaching employees at major businesses and several schools about life and the things of God. Future Ministry Goals: • Bible School • Family homes for Orphans. • Youth Outreach • Self-Help business opportunities • Outreach to the Masai people • Church Planting
