Our mission is to marry the nimble, innovative style of a technology start-up with the storytelling traditions of the best children's book publishers, resulting in brilliantly illustrated books that help expand minds, open hearts and ignite curiosity in readers of all ages. StoryBook Genius connects authors with illustrators, designers and editors from around the world. We publish in formats from traditional paperbacks and hardbacks to eBooks and multimedia formats using the latest technologies including read-a-long, audio-narration and animation. And we have relationships in the publishing industry that connect our authors to digital on-demand printing typically available only through large publishing houses. Our books are distributed to tens of thousands of retailers, wholesalers, libraries and schools both in the United States and around the world. While giving a nod to traditional publishing practices, we are focused on continuous innovation of our publishing process through the application of technology, process improvement, rapid development of socially relevant titles, and targeted social media interactions to grow our direct to reader footprint. In 2017, in response to the high demand for our illustration and design services from self-published authors, we spun-off our creative design group into a separate entity call Yip Jar (YipJar.com, Book design that makes you go yippee!). We have great respect for the growing self-published market. Now, if authors choose to go-it-alone, they can do it with the peace of mind that they will have high-quality illustrations and book design to complement their project.
