Our association has been created almost three years ago in early 2019, more than 90 years after the last « Concours d'élégance automobile » was held in Strasbourg, at the time inaugurated by former french President Raymond Poincaré along with Ettore Bugatti.Back to 1920's, the common aim of these prestigious high-end gatherings was to showcase the newest models. We wanted to connect these 2 eras without forgetting itsgenuine DNA.2 years : This is the time needed for its founding members, counsellors,volunteers as well as partners to bring this one-of-a-kind project back to LIFE !Our Association will be organizing a biennial automobile elegance contest, according to the rules of a FIVA jury composed of professionals, on odd-numbered years.While being the core of automotive history, Alsace is still the only French region that is able to build a car from A to Z, notably because it is close to the German economic environment and to cities like Karlsruhe, Mannheim, Stuttgart, Frankfurt.We also wanted to impel a European dimension by being partners of the neighbouring elegance competitions of Baden-Baden, Mondorf les Bains (Luxembourg) and, hopefully, the competition of Villa d'Este (Italy).Besides this contest, it was impossible not to think of a series of conferences about ecomobility and sustainability. These meetings will be the culmination of several months of hard work and partnerships with renown manufacturers, innovative companies, start-ups as well as public authorities.
