Stroh Hereford ranch was started 68 Years ago back in 1950 when newlyweds Tony and Leona Stroh purchased the land which houses the sales facility and the 'home place' where Mike and his siblings were raised. Tony Stroh, was dedicated to raising Hereford cattle with longevity, eye appeal and performance. These cattle were also expected to perform in a multitude of conditions. Tony took pride in the fact that his cattle were docile, sound on their feet and visually appealing. Tony always had the commercial cattleman in mind when he procured his genetics. Today, Tony's son Mike and his wife Dawn along with their son Matt carry on the tradition that Tony started 68 years ago. Mike procures genetics that he feels will compliment working ranches. Traits which Mike, Dawn and Matt have been focusing on would include: visual appeal, moderate birth weights, high performance, desirable maternal traits and carcass traits which will carry through to the rail.
