When I started my business, Sherrington Financial Fitness, Inc. back in 2011, my mission was to help small businesses succeed. What I found was that I had another mission that naturally evolved over time. I called the first one my outside mission, and the new one my inside mission.When I started writing my book about recovering from financial abuse, I realized that my inside mission had finally found a home. It all made sense. Strong Women Thriving is the company that I started to support the sale of the book and the soon-to-be-developed course on recovering from financial abuse.The mission of Strong Women Thriving is:"To empower women personally and financially."I have used this phrase time and time again when I meet women and we start swapping stories. I am amazed at how many women I've met who have been financially abused. Some of whom didn't even know that's what it was.I have this passion inside me that wants to help every woman find her financially savvy so that she can live her most empowered life. Whatever that is for her. We as women are told over and over that we're not good with money. That's a lie. We are actually, statistically, better with money than men are, we just don't believe in ourselves and our abilities.More than anything, what I see is a lack of confidence in knowing how to handle money and a belief that is holding us back as a gender. We can handle our own finances with competence and confidence and Strong Women Thriving is my call to lead, to be a Financial Wayshower to others who are ready to shine.
