STS Motorsports Inc. was founded in 2005 by Robert Marsden to document the history of North Wilkesboro Speedway. Soon after founding the company STS Motorsports embarked to build a business plan and viable options to re-open the North Wilkesboro Speedway for racing and other events. Armed with a petition STS was able to get Bruton Smith to agree to a $12m price tag of the speedway, the first time anyone had gotten the owners to agree on a price.
