The Student Leadership Project is an educational non-profit organization dedicated to maximizing the success of urban charter schools and their students by systematically developing and leveraging student-led culture.The Student Leadership Project was founded by two Teach For America alumni whose experiences teaching in New Orleans, LA confirmed their belief that every student deserves a quality education, including both excellent instruction and a unifying school culture. Many urban charter schools are making impressive strides to close the achievement gap, but they are not fully leveraging the possibilities of student leadership.
