Studio 7 is a world class boutique recording studio based in Tottenham Hale, North London. The studio belongs to songwriter and artist 'Loveless' who built the studio as a production facility for songwriting in 2015. The studio is also extensively used by David M Allen, multi award winning producer who's production work include kiss me, kiss me, kiss me and disintegration by The Cure. At the heart of the studio is 'The Plank" Konrad 'Conny' Plank's famous hand made desk which was in situ at his studio in Cologne Germany between 1970 and 2008. Between 1970 and 1987 ‘Conny's studio' became one of the most prestigious recording studios in Europe credited with producing many classic albums including ‘Autobahn' by Kraftwerk, ‘Vienna' by Ultravox, ‘Before and After Science' by Brian Eno, ‘In the Garden' by Eurythmics and ‘Echo & the Bunnymen' by Echo & the Bunnymen. Connie was a huge influence on Bowie and Brian Eno who used Connie's studio to produce Devo's first album in 1978. Despite its age ‘The Plank' is still making history today having been used to record and mix many recent albums including ‘In Our Heads' and ‘Why Make Sense' by Hot Chip, ‘Right Thought, Right Words, Right Action' by Franz Ferdinand, and ‘Communion' by Years and Years.The studio has a vast array of both vintage and modern equipment, hardware, amps and backline as well as an incredible collection of vintage synths. Audio conversion comes via two UAD 16 Apollo mkII interfaces which give the ability to record up to 32 channels of Audio using some of the highest quality converters on the market. These also offer the unique possibility of inserting UAD plugins into the recording chain as if hardware. Monitoring comes via Yamaha NS10, Auratone 5c soundcubes and Adam S3H-X.Studio 7 is capable of producing, editing and mixing music at the very highest level. We have recorded and produced Albums, EP's, singles as well as music for film, advertising and radio.
