profileStudio KAH is a newly formed architectural practice in Bath.Kashdan and Hynam left Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios in April 2009 to form Studio KAH. Julia Kashdan-Brown was a long-term Partner in the practice and helped to run Studio 5. Matthew Hynam worked in Studio 5 on a number of successful projects with Julia. The new Studio builds on this successful collaboration.Since forming Studio KAH the practice has been short-listed for the RIBA open competition for SeftonWaterworks. Both partners are involved in the practice as well as further education through teaching, research and MA studies. This is seen as an important part of developing an architectural acumen and continuing the intellectual debate about architectural language and ideas.ethosStudio KAH believes in:the creation of a contemporary architectural language which is strong conceptually.collaboration with artists on every project and other specialists to develop an approach which will have a unique and fitting identity to place.developing innovative solutions where the materiality of the building is vital to its character.the creation of socially and environmentally sustainable architecture.
