Studio Of Cinematic Architecture (SOCA) is a London-based art and architecture practice that creates innovative public art and lighting installations in the public realm.We are interested in animating and activating public space with responsive, physical and digital interventions that connect people with places. We work closely with local communities to identify and celebrate unique social and cultural characteristics in our work and treat each project as an opportunity to explore and experiment.Gabby Shawcross is an artist and designer with a background in architecture, set design and interactive art. He qualified as an architect at the Bartlett School of Architecture and as a production designer from the National Film and Television School. Before founding the studio he worked for seven years as senior designer at Jason Bruges Studio and four years at Hopkins Architects. Gabby also teaches a Masters studio at the University of Westminster, where students use film-making techniques to question and transform how we design and represent architecture.Tughela Gino is an architect with over 12 years of professional practice experience. She qualified at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL and as a jewellery designer from Sir John Cass at the London Guildhalll. Tughela has worked for Nicholas Grimshaw, Arup Associates and continues to work as a director of Tughela Gino Architecture. Her experience includes a wide range of residential, industrial and public realm projects and teaching undergraduate architecture at the University of Westminster.
