At Sugo Lab we're on a mission to create practical art. We offer a range of beautiful objects for your home that are designed to be appreciated and admired while also being durable and serving a useful purpose.I grew up in the Italian countryside, surrounded by nature. My father owned a furniture workshop, so furniture has always been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I learnt to whittle at age 10 and from the moment the penknife touched the wood, that was it – I was in love. I have been passionate about woodworking and design ever since.I set up Sugo Lab in 2013 to create beautiful, solid wood homewares and furniture. Leaving the countryside and moving to London in 2015 just strengthened my desire to create products that combine the best of nature and modern design, bringing together the geometric shapes I saw in the city with the natural materials I have loved since childhood.At Sugo Lab our designs are minimalistic and modern yet the inspiration we draw from nature also lends them a timeless quality. As nature provides our inspiration and our raw materials, respect for nature and sustainability are at the heart of what we do. All products are handcrafted from solid wood and made in small batches and our aim in everything we do is to create quality products that last.We hope you will love our products as much as we do.
